My obsession with turning thoughts into photos, has progressed into a career which will capture peoples special memories forever.

Nice to meet you!

I’m Chloe Masters, the sole owner of Chloe Masters Photography.

Born and raised in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. I fell in love with capturing peoples memories and turning thoughts into photos.

I have over 7 years of professional photography experience, with a first class honours degree in photography and a Masters degree in arts specialising in photography.

So wether it be your wedding day, a new business venture, a birthday or maybe just a portrait update. I promise to offer you a fresh, reliable and uplifting photography experience, with images you will cherish forever.

What is my style?

My style description

I would describe my photography style as a mix of candid and styled. I like to start my shoots by applying my knowledge of a commercial photography background into styling the subject, this then usually leads into shoots naturally flowing ideas on the day. My editing style is a true to colour approach with a bold touch. I love to make people feel confident, no matter what the shoot entails, helping create a timeless, light-hearted energy with in my photos.

Wedding style

After 2 years experience shooting weddings, i’ve come to the realisation that most often than not when my couples talk with me about a more candid style, when they then present me with images examples they would love to recreate, majority of the inspiration, comes from styled shoots. Luckily this is what I’ve studied for, but is the reason I describe my style as using a mixture of capturing candids and styled shots. Throughout the day, my candids will mainly focus on guests, details and lovely moments between you both. But I will also set aside the time and explain to my couples that in order to capture their desired photos, there will be a small element of direction on their couple photos if needed.

Another reason I find this mix so important, is that you have paid an absolute fortune for your day, the venue, the decor, your hair and make up, the dress and suit! You’re both looking and feeling 10/10 and this day will only happen once (We hope anyway hehe).

So whilst we’re here we might as well make the most of it! And create images worthy of hanging up in your hallway. My goal is to give you images you will get teary eyed looking back at (Happy tears of course).

The main concern I tend to hear from couples, is that they are not comfortable in front of the camera. Don’t worry, most people aren’t, in-fact id be nervous too! But because of this I have a pretty good idea of how to help you both work the camera, without making it an awkward or an over the top experience. To help ease you in and to not overwhelm you both on the day, I will always suggest a pre-wedding engagement or couple shoot, helping to ease those camera shy nerves and giving me time to get to know you as a couple, after all I’m most likely going to be at one of the best days of your life!

Whats your favourite thing to do when your not working?

When I’m not busy capturing memories, I love attending music festivals with my friends. And booking flights to see the world with my other half.

Do you have any travel recommendations?

My favourite places i’ve visited so far are Chichen Itza temple in Mexico, Lindos village in Greece and Lisbon in Portugal (mainly for the food). On the bucket list to visit is Norway for the northern lights and I would love to Visit Japan!

If you had one last meal on earth what would it be?

My favourite restaurant at home is probably Fazenda, so maybe a buffet (is that cheating?) but my favourite cuisine is Mexican and Greek, specifically tacos and chicken gyros, so I probably go with that. If were talking deserts, cookie dough and Ice cream for sure!

Are you a morning person or night owl?

100% a night owl, I like slow paced mornings and feel like all my ideas spiral in the evening. Don’t worry though, I can fake being a morning person for photoshoots.

Interview me

If you was the DJ at a party what msuic would you play?

My go to playlist would be a mix of 70’s disco, 2000’s pop music and house music, I wish id of been born to witness a 90’s rave.

Whats your favourite animal?

Definitely cats, I have one Tabby cat called Tilly, She’s actually 22 years old, nearly as old as me!

Guilty pleasure?

Im a sucker for reality TV, (Real housewives, Vanderpump rules) I know its not everyones cup of tea but I love to binge watch it whilst editing.

Am I a sports fan?

I’d say yes, I was a cheerleader for 4 years in university but the thought of being thrown in the air now genuinely makes me feel ill.

Tell me something interesting…

I’ve recently bought a 100 year old house with my other half, which will be a complete renovation project. If you’d like to see more about this make sure to follow me on all socials!
